Owner/Founder & Groomer
Taylor
Groomer
Sam is the heart & soul of Black Dog Pet Salon Inc. With 6 years of grooming experience, Sam opened the salon in 2021 during the pandemic, mixing her two passions of music and animals into one. She turned a lifetime love of animals into a business built on care, patience, trust and a little bit of rock n' roll.​
Sam loves dogs of all breeds and sizes. Her goal is making every grooming experience calm and comfortable for the dogs.

Sam has always felt a strong connection to animals of all kinds, from beloved pets to wildlife. That connection shaped her decision to work with animals professionally and continues to influence how she approaches grooming today. She takes the time to listen, move slowly, and build trust with every pet in her care.

Off the Clock
Outside the salon, Sam is a true creative at heart. She loves playing guitar, singing and painting, often drawing inspiration from nature and music. She also enjoys spending time with family, her dog, Stevie and taking care of her other pets.​​

Taylor has over 9 years expeience in the pet grooming industry. She spent 6 years working in a salon as a bather and groomers assistant, building a strong foundation in dog care, handling and coat maintenance, before being trained as professional groomer in 2022 here at Black Dog.
Grooming isn't just a job for Taylor - it's her whole world and true passion that she plans to grow with for years to come. The well being of every dog is her top priority!
She takes pride in her work and loves grooming a wide variety of breeds. Some of her favourites include engergetic Vizslas, lovable pugs, and everything in between.

Off the Clock
Outside of work, Taylor is true nature lover who enjoys spending time outdoors exploring, hiking, and swimming. She also has a strong love for music and values meaningful time spent with her family.

Anastasiia
Groomer
Anastasiia has been working as a professional dog groomer for over 4 years and has been a valuable member of Black Dog since May of 2024. Previously, she had spent about 3 years honing her skills as a groomer in Warsaw, Poland.
She loves working with long-haired dogs and is not afraid of "challenging" cases - the more complex the haircut or the dogs behaviour, the more eager she is to take on the challenge! Anastasiia enjoys being creative and designing unique, custom trims for each dog.
Her focus is entirely on the dogs she cares for​
While she is still learning English, she may not always be able to interact with clients as much - but, this never affects her skill or dedication to the pets.

Off the Clock​
Outside of work, Anastasiia is active and energetic. She enjoys sports, walks and spending time with friends. She also values quiet moments alone to relax and recharge.​​

Stevie is a 7 year old King Charles Spaniel, Springer Spaniel cross.
She's been working hard in the salon since it opened in 2021. She loves to greet all the dogs and people that come in the salon or that just walk by the front door.
On her time off she enjoys taking naps, long walks or hikes with her mom Sam, and basking in the sun in her backyard.
Favourite treat: Peanut butter
